Taking to social media on Tuesday night, the Scottish super producer teased Heatstroke, his new track featuring Young Thug, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande. Just how many fire emojis do you feel the need to type right now? WE. KNOW. While we await further news of this smokin' hot single, let's take a look at the incredible, enviable evolution of Mr Calvin Harris. He's come a long way from his Dumfries beginnings and the party-loving popstar we first met in 2007.
2007
Calvin made his debut in 2007 with his hit singles Acceptable In The 80s and The Girls. He was promoted as a pop star as much as a dance producer and his work sounds very different to the Ibiza anthems (and occasional Frank Ocean slow jam, obviously) we know him for now.

2009
Calvin performed at Radio 1's Big Weekend in Swindon in this year. He had quit alcohol the previous year after getting so drunk at V Festival in 2008 he says he couldn't remember the night.
"I was annoyed I hadn't been getting enough done, hangovers were taking over," he told The Mirror at the time.
He returned with his second album, a fresh mindset and a slicker sound - albeit still with a solid sense of fun.

2011
This was the year Calvin released his singles Bounce and Feel So Good - the latter becoming his first hit in the US and taking him from a quite successful UK star to a global dance superstar.
It was also the year Calvin teamed up with to produce her huge hit, We Found Love, a track that helped put his name into the major league across the world.

2012
Calvin released 18 Months, the biggest album of his career (so far). For the first time in his career he started working with guest vocalists on his own tracks, teaming up with the likes of , and on huge hit singles.
2012 was also the year he moved to Los Angeles and started living a healthier lifestyle than he'd enjoyed while living in the UK.
"You can eat healthily, there’s a lot more healthy options than in the UK - that’s a fact," he told The Sun in 2012 after moving to LA and getting into the gym lifestyle.

2014
When Calvin hit the red carpet in 2014 for the ±«Óătv Music Awards he was barely recognisable from the bouncy, scruffy lad we first saw in his Acceptable In The 80s video.
Two years of living in LA had turned him into a lean star with a Hollywood gleam. The video for his huge hit Summer also showed a more groomed, muscular man behind the music.

2015
In 2015 Calvin made his debut as an Armani underwear model and well, that healthy living had definitely paid off.
2016
By this point Calvin's transformation was long complete and he returned to Radio 1 to on the day he released his single, My Way.
His relationship with ended in June 2016, his first high-profile romance, which only raised his star status across the globe.
The same year Calvin worked with Rihanna for the second time in his career on their gigantic hit single, This Is What You Came For.

FYI, he was also still doing a little bit of modelling in 2016 as well.
2017
Calvin teamed up with and for his single Slide. It's the first time either artist has shown up on a pop track, which shows how important a man in music Calvin really is.
If Heatstroke is anything like Slide, we're all in for one serious treat.
