The unexpected music your favourite stars really listen to

You can't judge a book by it's cover and you definitely can't make assumptions about what a celebrity is listening to on their smartphone.

Already this week we've been shocked by Kendall Jenner's amazing taste in music and recently Radio 1 chatted to about the unexpected artist he says is "the greatest of all time".

Here's what Kendall and Skepta have been listening to, along with other listening habits of our favourite celebrities that have surprised and impressed us all...

Kendall Jenner LOVES grime

Nick Grimshaw DJed at a London Fashion Week party this week and was pestered for a song requested from one particularly keen guest.

It wasn't just anybody; it was Kendall Jenner, one of the most famous women in the whole world.

And what did she want to hear? Grime. Loads of grime. Nick didn't have the and songs she wanted so she just plugged her phone into the speakers and took it away herself.

Katy Perry LOVES Years & Years

is one of the biggest pop stars in the world, but she was also one of the first big names to shout the praises of when they were just getting started in 2015.

Now, everyone loves Years & Years but two years ago, they fangirled HARD when she turned up at one of their shows later that year.

Stormzy LOVES Adele

Stormzy is obsessed with Adele

But he claims he doesn't want to record a duet with her.

Not only does name-check in his huge new tune Big For Your Boots, but he also told Radio 1 about his love for the star on the red carpet of the 2017 Elle Style Awards.

"She’s incredible. Greatest of all time. Simple," he said.

Despite being a huge fan, the grime star is in no hurry to get in the studio with his hero. “I just wanna leave it as that, distance,” he said. “I don’t wanna start intruding.”

Lady Gaga LOVES Metallica

might have made some of the biggest hits of our generation but she doesn't sit at home listening to pop hits, oh no.

Nope, Gaga is a massive metal fan and not only did she perform with at The Grammys but she even got a tattoo dedicated to the band.

"I knew she was a metal chick at heart, but I didn't know how deep her metal roots were," Lars Ulrich told Entertainment Weekly.

"Her relationship with Metallica goes way back — like deep album cuts on the early couple records."

Zara Larsson LOVES Beyonce

has made no secret of her love for Beyonce. She has been grooving to Bey's new Jay Z and DJ Khaled collaboration, Shining, on her Instagram account.

When she dropped into the Radio 1 Breakfast Show in 2016 she told Nick Grimshaw she wanted to wake up and be Beyonce and that she couldn't keep her emotions in check when she met Queen Bey after a show in Stockholm.

"She came in and I just bawled my eyes out,"

Years & Years LOVE Ray BLK

When was named the winner of the ±«Óătv's Sound Of 2017, Years & Years described her as a "shining light of musical hope and wonder". We think they pretty much nailed it with that description.

Olly has previously spoken of his love for seriously cool artists such as , , , and many more.

He's also a bit of fan of Beyonce, but then who isn't?

Taylor Swift LOVES Alessia Cara

counts some of the world's biggest pop stars in her friendship circle but she doesn't just listen to songs by and - she's actually got a pretty cool taste in edgy pop.

In 2015 Taylor shared a playlist with fans that she promised would make everyone's lives more awesome. Along with super-cool pop names like , and , she also included underrated bop, I'm Yours on the list.
