Anna's Beef Stir-fry

Anna Says: “Minute steak is a really easy beef to use for a stir fry. If you didn't want to use meat - you could use tofu in this stir-fry.”

STIR FRY INGREDIENTS:

  • 150g minute steak

  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 thumb-size piece of ginger,

  • 1-2 spring onions, sliced

  • 1 carrot grated or cut into strips.

  • 1 pinch of chilli flakes

  • 1/2 tsp sesame seeds

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1tbsp honey

  • 1 big handful of kale

  • 3 tbsp veg oil

METHOD:

  1. Tenderise the beef as we saw before & then slice it up into bite-size pieces.

  2. Slice the garlic thinly, and peel and chop up the ginger finely.

  3. Slice the spring onions, and separate the green and white parts.

  4. Peel & slice the carrot into thin strips (or you can grate it).

  5. Heat the oil up in a pan.

  6. Add the garlic and stir.

  7. Add the ginger and the white parts of the spring onion.

  8. Add the tenderised beef and stir

  9. Add the carrot, and stir in the soy sauce and honey

  10. Add kale, chilli flakes and sesame seeds

  11. Finish off with the green parts from the spring onions.
