There's the half-time whistle at St Andrew's. Huddersfield were excellent for the first 10 minutes and opened the scoring from the penalty spot through Karlan Grant, but Birmingham have been better since then and should have scored through Lukas Jutkiewicz.

Both sides have started to put together some good attacking moves, as they approach half-time in the East Midlands.

Preston have now got less than seven minutes left of normal time to find an equaliser against Derby.

North End are facing a sixth defeat in eight games, as it stands.

Again, Birmingham probably should score here, but Gary Gardner heads straight at Jonas Lossl.

Simon Atkins: I can just see us (Birmingham) getting dragged into a relegation fight. Goals conceded through poor defending against Hull, and a pen given away through a poor challenge tonight.

They're in to the final 15 minutes of a big game for both sides at Deepdale, and Derby are still in front and still looking relatively comfortable. It's not been a great game. Wayne Rooney's opener straight from a free-kick has been one of the few moments of really top quality.

Birmingham have a good opportunity to level as Lukas Jutkiewicz meets Dan Crowley's cross - unmarked in the middle - but the former Burnley man's effort goes over the bar. Frustration for the home side, who have improved since falling behind in the 10th minute.

Off the bench, Bristol City keeper Daniel Bentley's first duty is to dive low to his left and pull off a super save at his near post to keep out a rasping drive from Joe Lolley.

Interesting that Huddersfield opted to recall Fraizer Campbell tonight, possibly on the 'horses for courses' principle.

He's scored six times against Blues before. Two for Sunderland, three for Hull City (including a double on his last visit to St Andrew's, a 3-3 draw last season) and one for Huddersfield Town earlier this season.

But he was not needed for the opening goal.

Karlan Grant won it for himself, luring Harlee Dean into bringing him down and then tucked away the spot-kick himself for his 18th goal of the season.

For a side who had lost their first two games after lockdown, the Terriers - clad in a fluorescent sort of orangey-pink colour that would struggle to get included on a Dulux colour chart - have started brightly.

The Robins are forced in to a first-half substitution as goalkeeper Niki Maenpaa has what looks like an ankle issue. Daniel Bentley - not exactly a bad keeper to have on the bench - comes on to replace him and perhaps has a chance to win back his number-one spot.

They've also reached the first drinks break at the City Ground, where Bristol City have had the better of the proceedings so far, but it remains goalless. It's not been a thriller, yet.

Just as they head off for the drinks break halfway through the first half, Lukas Jutkiewicz nods Kristian Pedersen's left-wing cross down towards the far post but it's comfortably gathered by Huddersfield keeper Jonas Lossl.

It's so close down at the bottom of the table that, if Huddersfield were to hold on to this, they would move above three clubs in to 19th in the table.

But there's long way to go at St Andrew's...

A good counter attacking move from Preston leads to a chance for Brad Potts, but he shoots straight at Derby keeper Ben Hamer.

Fit-again striker Benik Afobe has had a couple of half chances for Bristol City, who look the brighter of these two teams at the moment.

Elsewhere, there's not been much action at either end at the City Ground in the early stages, mainly because Matty Cash and Callum O'Dowda clashed heads early on and needed some treatment. I think, thankfully, both are OK to continue.

Meanwhile, the second half is now under way at Deepdale, where Derby are set to head up to seventh spot unless Preston can fight back.
