How can I, as an artist, get Radio 2 to play my music?
Radio 2 plays a wide range of popular music from the 1960s to the present day.
We have a weekly playlist of around 25 new tracks which we play primarily in our daytime shows, and each week we refresh this with around 6-8 new tracks.
Unfortunately, due to the high volume of music we receive from people we cannot give individual feedback on all the music sent to us.
Alternately, if you think your music will appeal to a particular presenter you can send emails with digital files or weblinks to individual presenters and shows. Email addresses for a selection of individual programmes can be found via the 'Contact' link on programme web pages.
You can also visit ±«Óãtv Music Introducing to upload music to the ±«Óãtv if you're an unsigned band. Your tracks will reach your closest ±«Óãtv Local Radio station along with a key national show of your choice.
Can I listen to Radio 2 outside the UK?
You can listen to Radio 2 online anywhere in the world, but you will not be able to pick up ±«Óãtv stations broadcasting on FM and DAB very far from UK shores. They are funded by the UK licence fee and the ±«Óãtv is not permitted to re-broadcast them from other countries.
