±«Óătv

Jane Ferguson

Brought up on the island of Islay and now living in Leith, I studied Gaelic and Scottish History at Glasgow University and have enjoyed a career in journalism, communications, marketing and audience development. I am currently Director of Audiences & Media at the V&A Museum of Design Dundee.

Away from work, I love travel, theatre, cinema, music, and getting out and about enjoying the culture and heritage of Scotland. I'm a frequent ±«Óătv viewer particularly of news services, drama and programmes about culture and the arts. My current favourite radio programme is Bryan Burnett's Get it On (Radio Scotland) and I will listen to anything on 6Music.

I believe the ±«Óătv can improve its services for audiences in Scotland through continually improving its understanding of audiences’ tastes and needs. I see building a strong relationship with younger audiences as a major priority for the future and I'm also passionate about the development of new Scottish drama which is cutting edge with a strong sense of place.
