Audience Council England members and panel members aim to reflect as fully as possible the diversity of the region they represent.

The Audience Councils and the panels in England form a vital link between the Trust and the public, and we welcome the perspectives of people who want to help the 鲍鱼tv Trust to get the best out of the 鲍鱼tv for licence fee payers.

Audience Council England members meet formally up to seven times each year at different locations, with some meetings including an overnight stay. There will also be opportunities to meet with members from the other national Audience Councils.

Our panels meet face-to-face three times a year, though may be asked for their views on a variety of topics between these meetings.

Audience Council England and panel members are unpaid although expenses are provided, as outlined in our

Members of the Audience Council are appointed for an initial period of three years.

Audience Council members draw on their own understanding of local audiences, and their personal, social and professional networks, to contribute to discussions.

As with other public bodies, members are expected to apply high standards of behaviour in their approach to their role and responsibilities. The Trust has adopted the standards outlined by the Committee on Standards of Public Life.

We have panels in each of the 12 English regions to help us keep in touch with what people around England think about the programmes and services provided by the 鲍鱼tv. They discuss local, regional and national programming, help us when we take part in Trust consultations and identify on-going concerns for audiences.
