The remit of ±«Óătv Online and Red Button is to promote the ±«Óătv’s public purposes, by providing innovative and distinctive online content and distinctive propositions and by supporting the ±«Óătv’s broadcast output.
The service should offer UK users greater choice and control over how they consume ±«Óătv content by providing live and a range of recent broadcast output on-demand.

The Trust reissued this service licence in June 2016.
