Victoria in the US emails: For how long will we Americans suffer as a consequence of our different governments bad actions? We haven't even recovered yet, from consequences of past American governments bad actions, and now this is dumped on us. Don't get me wrong I don't condone bad actions of rogue leaders, especially when they kill their own people. I just believe in appropriate action at the right time, with limited casualties, and no negative consequences on my people.

Asmin in Bosnia: I totally suport no fly zone and protection of civilians. If they did same to Serbia early in 1992 the Bosnian genocide wouldn't have happened. Dont let the Kadhafi make genocide/massacre in Libya.

Daniel in Finland : The situations in Ivory Coast is different to that of Libya, there is already a UN presence in Ivory Coast and Gbagbo doesn't have the same military resources as those of Libya. The UN mission can be strengthened and the African union can have a presence. But there is not the same need for bombing missions.

Dan in the US emails: The glaring difference between Libya and other conflicts, including Cote d'Ivoire currently and also Iraq and Afghanistan, is that in Libya the West was ASKED to intervene, both by the Libyan people and by Libya's neighbors in the region. If, like the Arab League, the African Union asks for Western military intervention in Cote d'Ivoire, then the West should seriously consider intervening there, too. But anyone who calls what the West is doing in Libya "imperialism" is either ignorant of the facts or is engaging in misleading hyperbole.
