Handa's Hen

In these two sessions the children will explore different dance ideas stimulated by the story of Handa’s Hen, by Eileen Browne, which is set in Kenya. They will learn a traditional style dance that requires rhythmic actions and they will explore pathways and levels on an imaginary hen hunt. They will also use a range of actions and dynamics that relate to some of the animals in the story.
