Forgotten passwords and member names

Having problems gaining access to your blog? If you’ve forgotten your password email me at islandblogging@bbc.co.uk and I can help.

While I can’t tell you what your current password is (I’m not privy to that sort of information!) I can reset the password for you. But you’ll need to provide details of your member name for me to do this. I’ll then email you back with the new password details.

Unfortunately I can’t access details of your member name, so if it’s this which you’ve forgotten, the best bet is to create a new membership.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Anne :)

My friend wants to know what his member name is? Is it the name that you type in when you sign in? Or is it his name, eg. If it was me ( which of course it isn't ) thewhitesettler name that you require? wait a minute I'll read it again, to see if I can make more sense of it.( it's not you it's me ) I've said that a few times over my lifetime, but this time it's actually the truth. Ok I think I'll just get my friend to email you. Thank you for your help..

thewhitesettler from none the wiser

I must admit I tried to log on for one last (albeit illegal) blog, but I couldn't log in - just to let you know how the move went, of course. Was there any blip in the machine-wosits earlier in the week? If so, this might explain a rise in queries about passwords. (or was I just cast out, to be forgotten, now I'm the other side of the Firth?) Be assured there are gale force 9's off the coast of Devon, so I'm not lording up down here. PS MC survived the trip and is working out how to get into a few local rabbit hutches. I saw him going out the door with a screwdriver, so I'm laying low from the neighbours. In Orkney the farmers were only too keen for him to devour Mr Bunnikins. Nothing as queer as folk!

Mad Lamb from The deep South

Hi Mad Lamb - Nice to hear from you! Sorry to hear you couldn't log in. You've definitely not been cast out! There were some problems earlier in the week but they're (hopefully) solved now. Would you like to try logging in again?

Anne from IBHQ

Mad Lamb from Under the crust of humble pie

(Hi MC.) Although ws is being his usual confused self, in the case of usernames and all that stuff, I am also confused as I don't really know what it all means........but it seems to work anyway, so who cares!
