“The public have an insatiable curiosity to know everything,” wrote Oscar Wilde in The Soul of Man Under Socialism, “except what is worth knowing.”

...so writes Allan Brown in the Sunday Times. "Unconstrained by the need to be interesting in any way whatsoever, blogs are the background radiation of the intellectual realm, the white noise of the collective unconscious, scrolling out their narratives whether anybody wishes to read them or not."

Mr Brown however is fascinating read "Joe Bloggs" - brilliant - how did he come up with that!?

I suppose in a sense bloggers are like journalists, no one knows if we are telling the truth or not.

No-one else knows, but we know where the truth is.
Actually I'm still waiting to grow out of blogging, and if the media start taking it seriously I'll have to look for something more underground.
I'm a bit miffed Mr Brown thinks there are only 10 bloggers in all the Highlands and Islands, how does he know I'm also Ming, Pondhead, Jane and Funky Blog? And I'm not suspicious of mobile phones, I just can't believe the rest of the world thinks they work when the only noise they ever make is an annnoying bleep at the start and then a lot of hissing. we get that once a year at the Coll panto!
