Seeking adventure and escaping her strict Baptist upbringing in Kentucky, Tyler is taking an extended break from her travels on the island of Manutaki. Having run out of money, she has taken a job at the Vaipiti owned Blue Reef bar, working alongside fellow traveller, Dries.

Tyler’s good-time-girl image is intriguingly at odds with her regular attendance at the local church and seeming intimacy with Pastor Calcott. Her casual attitude towards her fling with Kyle belies her true feelings for him.

Tai had five years theatre experience before making the break to film and television work. In 2008, she appeared as Ida McDonald in the Midnight Film production of 鲍鱼tv by Christmas, later joining the cast of Emmy Award-winning New Zealand series Reservoir Hill.

Most recently she has appeared as Bennie in the successful comedy drama TV series Go Girls.
