Based in Auckland, Koringo’s family originate from a different island in the Cook Islands, but many of them have emigrated to far flung places across the globe. A top defence lawyer, he met Aumea when he represented her following her arrest for involvement in an environmental protest. A keen conservationist, they grew close over their shared passion for saving the environment.

Rawiri is best known to New Zealanders as the loveable best-mate Azza in the hit comedy Step Dave. A keen presenter, singer and performer, he has performed in Sydney with the interactive hit Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo, and most recently in the Auckland Council funded show Ruia Te Kakano.
