They describe themselves as medics and musicians in equal measure!

The Tympaniks, which refers to the membrane in the ear, play gigs around the West Midlands and are from Ledbury, Worcester and Birmingham.

Last year (their debut), their mission was to be played on the radio and in 2018 their dream was to play a festival.

We're pleased to have helped them achieve both!

“Catchy soulful melodies from a fun a friendly group you just want to see time and time again.” - Andrew Marston.

Tinchy Stryder in Hereford

Tinchy Stryder in Hereford
Last weekend saw an appearance from Tinchy Stryder...at the Hereford Food Festival!

Taking place on Hereford Racecourse, a hungry group of revellers watched two days' worth of local music culminating in one of the biggest surprise acts you could have expected at a food event!

Highlights: Glastonbeoley
GlastonBeoley is the first music festival of its kind to be held in the village of Beoley, near Redditch.

This new local festival, which took place last weekend, brought together around 20 artists from around the Midlands to perform on two stages.

The event was organised by local music duo Imaner - and it was all raising money for local charities.

It's a pick 'n' mix shop that straddles the Herefordshire-Wales border and swells the population of Hay-on-Wye early each summer.

We were there, once again, with some of our favourite handpicked musicians from Herefordshire & Worcestershire, recording four sessions for broadcast.

One of the newest festivals in Herefordshire's calendar is to return next Saturday - and organisers are expecting more people than ever to attend.

Sundogs at Luctionians is a bit of a different type of event as it mixes sport, music and drinking!

On Friday evening, there'll be a rounders tournament followed by Saturday where three men’s Sevens Rugby tournaments will take place, a women’s tag rugby competition, a hockey match then several bands in the evening and well into the night.

The Biggest Weekend: Underworld

The Biggest Weekend: Underworld
One of the kingpins of '90s dance music were Underworld, who actually formed in 1980 when Bewdley musician Karl Hyde met Rick Smith in Cardiff.

But it wasn't until the movie Trainspotting came out in 1996 that the electronica duo would achieve their highest success with the anthemic thumper Born Slippy.

That film was directed by Danny Boyle, the same chap that directed the Olympic Games in London, who commissioned the band to write some of the soundtrack to the 2012 event.

The Biggest Weekend: Years & Years

The Biggest Weekend: Years & Years
Performing in Swansea was Olly Alexander and his band Years & Years -.

Olly studied atandand became the band's lead singer after meeting at a house party and was overheard singing in the shower!

He then went on to support, whoalso appeared in Swansea.
