Erddig, Wrexham - Portraits of a Community

Erddig House, an urban fringe property situated 2 miles south of Wrexham, presents a unique view of the 'upstairs' and 'downstairs' activities of a large country estate. The upper floors are filled with exquisite, 18th Century furniture and decorations, the lower floors and outbuildings demonstrate the daily lives of the servants and the high regard in which they were held by the family. The house was recently voted second favourite stately property, in a recent competition, gracefully losing to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire.
