The real tears came with a 24 hour time delay.
Ah... the team, the team, the team...
... they went out for closure last night.
The thing about a big night out like Monday is that you can get so caught up in the moment and talking to everyone else, that you don't have the time you should have with your pals - your team mates. Well last night was it.
The girls and Crackpot Craig went for a belated hairy dog, and out came all the love - real proper tears and everything. Hard work is like two tectonic plates locking together inside of you and then when somebody finally tells you you're doing ok - in the team's case more than ok - then something's gonna give somewhere.
I didn't go with them, I thought it was important for them to have their own moment. Tash and I went out to our local for a meal in a parallel celebration. Good stories to come back to today though.
It's like a new dawn this afternoon, now about next year's entry...
