I'M OUTTA HERE.
First holiday of the year..it's here. So long my friends I'm away with my beautiful...
...wife to our new flat in the sun.
I bought it two years ago off plan and now it's finished. All good things come to those who wait and all that.
Natasha has been there this week Shishmanianing it up. I wanted her to take some pics but she says it's a surprise.
Whilst she was away she said that she missed me and that she "thought about me all the time even when she was thinking about something else."
The book, it's name and all that's in it will have to wait until my return by which time I will have have much to report and trials undertaken for it is a manual for... nope I'm sorry I really must keep my lips sealed on this one for now at least.
More actors in the studio tonight seeing how to look like a disc jockey, ah those movie people, so glamourous, so handsome, so bloody thin.

It really is very strange when you guys are on holiday and I must admit will not listen to drivetime without you - I know that sounds odd - is it odd? no I think not. Your programme is about people you and us and you manage to build relationships with us guys out here and when you and your team are on hols it is like a close friend going away.

Had a brilliant weekend. It was Mr P's birthday so I spoiled him rotten and then it was my sister's 30th, which involved a big and very messy party. Lots of fun and with minimum dramas - great news for our famille.

We went to a party too Saturday night. I drank too much and ended up singing through a microphone with the singer! I was singing 'Steamy Windows' by Tina Turner and Mr Debbie will never let me forget it now! What makes it worse is that it was my boss' sons 21st Birthday party!

I so want to go on holiday!! I am sitting here typing and the sun is out and the sky is blue and I always want to be in Los Gigantes, Tenerife. My parents have just booked to go to Jersey in June. I haven't been there since I was two and I keep seeing the adverts on the TV. It looks beautiful. And HELLO! Tax free shopping. I might have to fly out for a day or two! Oh well I shall have to stay at the 'fella's'!

Yes, peeps, lots of us only listen when the team are all there but won't that have an impact on their mightly listening figures. I have a suggestion - how about you put a radio on somewhere still tuned to the drivetime show even when he/they's not there. You don't have to listen but the figures won't take a tumble!
Actually I even listened to Radcliffe and Marconie last night because I knew Stuart wouldn't be there. Sorry Stuart, you're great just not my cup of tea.

Recently I got mesen inter a big mess while playin' golf.
It's all due ter a stray 'shank shot' which is when yer mis.. 'it the ball with the club shaft insead of the club 'ead.
I shanked me shot sharp left inter the adjacent factory ter the course aka, alledgedly, toilet manufacturers Armitage Shanks!!!!!
I was just about ter replay the shot in question, when me playin' partner shouted... "toilet duck"!!!!!
I laughed at what I thought was a joke..... next thing I woke up in the course cloooob, sorry club 'ouse, receiving first aid from the club pro!!!!
Apparently i'd 'it a bad tempered factory worker, aka Sid Shaw, with me stray ball who then in retaliation threw a 'alf made toilet over the fence... 'itting me & knocking me out!!!!!
(It was a clean knock out but I couldn't see Stuart 'all anywhere).
A tell yer blog friends.... be very careful if ever yer play golf adjacent ter a toilet manufacturers!!!!
I've now cancelled me membership with the golf club.
The final straw was when I went inter the club 'ouse bar ter recover & the film playin' on the tv was..... 'The Shawshank Redemption'!!!!!!!

I have taken over as head chef in a lovely cookey school in Worstershire which is set around a working farm were we produce and raise our own beef and other farm animal.
We are the only cookery school that has 8 agas in our cookery school.

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi.
Friday went well. As well as these things do. Once again, Gingembre, thanks for the thoughts.
Much appreciated.
Number One Son steeled himself for what was probably the hardest thing he'll ever be asked to do, and shone like a star.
And so all is well and peaceful in Rudgwick.
After having knots in my stomach since November when I was 'asked' to do this speech, I feel much better today having had a proper run through. If I can now fathom out the technical side of things I reckon I can pull it off.
Two weeks to go......
As a result of this new found confidence I can finally see beyond February. I have gone mad and booked every decent (in my humble opinion) ticket going to satisfy my thirst for live rock music that has gone particularly unquenched for a few years, so coming up we have Velvet Revolver, Foo Fighters and Bon Jovi.
Oh, and a quick trip to Vegas to boot.
Haven't seen CLP since Christmas, so I still owe him that pint. Perhaps we'll check out the new rub-a-dub-dub. if he's managed to open it yet.

Just to clear one thing up, I didn't mean to miss everyone else that had sent their wishes, and I thank everyone who did. I was referring to my father-in-law's funeral last week, the speech is looming the week after next.
I came within a whisker of telling them where to shove their balance sheet today, but a deep breath and a walk around the car park stopped me. A glass of wine with Mrs MfR this evening has calmed me down, so I'll remain employed until next week at least.
You know what? I've just thought of a few amendments I could make to that speech....

The Red Arrows video is fabulous. A few years ago, my sister and I were visiting friends in Margate - they have a hilltop home (as you do) and we were enjoying drinks on the terrace when the Red Arrows appeared from nowhere, training! It was absolutely heart-stopping to watch them. I even forgot to finish my drink ... well, for about 10 minutes!

MfR - it was the blog plod which nicked my congratutions not you missing them..... these silly 502 errors are causing my talktypes to go up the spout.
Never mind about the balance sheet - its the cash flow which will really get you in the end.
I used to do the financial performance measures and believe me by the end of each first week of the month I could cheerfully do away with the finance director for keep changing the financial reports.
expenses, balance sheet, cashflow and ROC - you have my sympathy and yes the car park is great for getting some peace of mind.

Well, what a Saturday night. At 3am the burgular alarm goes off. I rush downstairs the dog in tow. Now I can't remember what the magic numbers are to silence it. I try numerous combinations while the dog looks up, asking what the h.ll is going on.
I never use the darn thing anyway because of the dog. Spooks afoot I think. It took an age before the thing went quiet, by which time I was wide awake.
So I checked Dave Brennan's link to the band on my space. I have to say very good and reminded me a little of Porcupine Tree. I found my Absentia album and played it till dawn.
A viewer, Whatever your problems, find what makes you happy. It's true this can be difficult but alcohol is not your friend. If taken to excess, it can lead to to getting up on stage with a hypnotist and making a complete fool of yourself...You have been warned.
