    The children's stories get me every time without fail. I don't think that there were as many this year though. It seemed to be more about entertainment and big names and I think it should go back to reminding us more about why we are watching in the first place.

    The Spice Girls were ok, think it would have been better if they had of been in the studio though. I'm not too sure about their new single, Take That, I think had a better comeback single.

    Watched as much as I could, but little man has gastroenteritis and I was looking after him mostly. Anyone have any ideas how to get him to drink dioralyte? He is playing me up something rotton. He has just fallen asleep bless him.

    Here in Scotland for Children In Need we had the most shocking examples of how NOT to do continuity that I have EVER EVER EVER seen!!! I'm all for regional programming , but not at the expense of the main programme and one's enjoyment of that! Every time they handed back to London, the song or item had already started! Now how unprofessional and amateurish is that!?

    Have to say I didn't see the last hour or so as I fell asleep with the wee lass!!!

    The latter is a subtitled French film - La Fille Sur Le Pont. I watch lots of these to keep up my french language skills. It stars the lovely Mrs Depp and the De Niro-esque Daniel Ateuil. It's shot in monochrome for that up close and personal feel. A great girl/boy film.
    My latest cinema experience is Control - the docu-film about the life of Ian Curtis of Joy Division fame. Tears, laughter, confusion, frustration. The film takes you on a bit of a journey and as a big JD fan I loved it.
    
    I'd also like to join the raffle for your mate John f it's not already been drawn. It's what you said about his voice that did it for me. 'Gruff'. Some of my male friends often leave me messages in a Scottish accent because I love it so much. None are ever gruff enough for me though. Perhaps your mate John could just leave me a message?
    I am 44, single and south-east London based with a son of 22 who is training to be a sommelier and promoting new bands in SE London (New Cross is the new Camden don't you know!) both of which I get quite involved with. My parents are available to check my fine pedigree too. I love all things French and I'm planing my 2nd 3 week road trip around France in a camper van next August. I like my man to cook but consider all other domestics to be woman's work. I can't get on with these 'modern men'. I get shouted down by my female friends so often for having this opinion but seeing men hanging out washing, hoovering, making the bed, ironing.......it all looks too wierd to me!
    Now I've spent my lunch hour catching up I do hope that I manage to keep up with you in future.
    Keep up the fine work keeping so many people happy on the roads.
