Family conflict during the morning routine

Description

A short musical piece describing the conflicts that arise during one family’s morning routine, such as spending too long in bed and falling out over breakfast.

Classroom Ideas

Students could be asked if they like getting up in the morning and to share any experiences of having arguments with their family whilst getting ready for school. They could think about what caused these arguments, and consider whether they could have been avoided. Ask students whether they think the family in this clip had a good morning, and then ask them to describe what made it a good morning.

They could draw a picture of the family arriving at school or sitting at the table eating breakfast, and add a thought bubble to describe how each is feeling on this harmonious morning. Students could then consider how they could ensure their family has a happy, conflict-free morning. They could draw a picture of this, and add speech and thought bubbles to help describe what is happening to keep everyone in a good mood.
