All about me

  • Self-Awareness

As you get older, you’ll start to find out all about what makes you…YOU! You should always remember that it’s OK to be yourself.

  • Feelings and Emotions

Everyone has emotions or feelings. Some common emotions are happiness, sadness, anger, and excitement. Sometimes, we express our feelings by laughing, crying, or shouting.

  • Learning to Learn

Learning is the most important thing we will ever do. It enables us to understand and enjoy the world and the people around us.

  • Health, growth and change

Your body is an amazing thing. The more you find out about it, the more amazed you’ll be.

  • Safety

Staying safe isn’t always as simple as it seems. When you were very young you relied on your parents or guardians to look after you and to keep you safe from harm.

Relationships and community

  • Relationships

We all have to live with other people. Let’s face it, it would terrible if you lived completely alone and had no contact with anyone else. Nobody would like that!

  • Rules, Rights and Responsibilities

As you grow older, you take on more responsibility. This is part of growing up.

  • Managing Conflict

Everyone gets angry sometimes. However, no-one really enjoys getting angry. When we are angry, we act in different ways that we don’t normally act.

  • Similarities and Differences

Everyone’s different. We all look different (apart from identical twins), we all think differently, and we all have different personalities.

  • Learning to Live as a Member of the Community

School is a wonderful place! All schools have different traditions and different ways of teaching and learning. You will recognise how your school does things.
