Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl soundtrack won the American Society of Composers Film award and was nominated for the Online Film Critics Society Award for best original score and Saturn Awards for best music.
Professional orchestras around the world have performed music from Pirates of the Caribbean on stage, often televised and sometimes conducted by Badelt or Zimmer themselves. Hans Zimmer tours arenas performing his film music live, including Pirates of the Caribbean.
A number of leading DJs have taken the main melodies from Pirates of the Caribbean and remixed them into dance tracks. Electronic artists Tiesto and Rebel each separately achieved top 10 spots in three European charts for their remixes.
