Key and map symbols
When using a map, there will always be a key which identifies the symbols used on the map. You will need to refer to the key to find out what the symbols mean. The examples in the graphic below provide some Third Level examples. You will need to use your 4 figure grid reference skills to identify where these symbols are located on the map.
