Understanding the rules

Long jumper doing a foul jump

This standard is there to see if you understand the rules and can accept all the decisions made by the officials in charge of the event.

An example of this would be a badminton player being aware of where they should be serving from for each point played.

Another example would be a long-jumper accepting the decision that their take-off foot was past the official line, meaning a foul jump has been committed.
