Food banks in Wales

Food banks are organised collections of essential items which have been donated to help those in need. Many churches in Wales operate foodbanks in their communities. They ask people to donate essential items such as:

  • fruit and vegetables
  • tinned fish and meat
  • rice
  • pasta
  • tea and coffee

They also ask people for donations of non-food items such as:

  • toilet paper
  • cleaning products
  • toiletries, such as soap and shampoo
