UN Sustainable Development Goal 13 – Climate Action

According to UN studies, 2019 was the second warmest year on record. The realities of climate change mean that we will all have a role to play in changing the way we live to help address the serious problems our planet faces.

UN Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action

Climate action is a global responsibility that will require countries who produce large amounts of carbon to urgently address how their economies work.

In order to limit global warming to 1.5°C, scientists recommend that by 2030 global emissions should be cut by 45% compared to 2010 levels.

In order to achieve this goal, each nation will have to make significant changes:

  • Reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases
  • Developed nations will provide financial help to developing nations
  • Designing, engineering and sharing technological development
