Years Surfing: 16 long wet years with occasional breaks to pursue egg chasing due to lack of money, sanity and any regard for personal safety.
Habitat: Mostly the inside of my head. or my house overlooking the bloody flat Knapp in Barry - dim waves dude.
Boards: 1 - Squirrels old 10'2" Pete Crab Hydroglide (he "borrowed" my Neville 9'10" 'cool as' and wouldn't give it back!
Quiver: Not often as I am quite hard.
Local Break: Coney or Rest or wherever Squirrel drags me!
Places Surfed: All over wales, Portrush in NI, France - Lacanau, Capreton, Hossegor, Biarritz, Bidart, the big bad Guethary, and Garth Mountain.
Favourite Surf Films: Apocalypse Now
Worst Wipeout: Getting my toe broken by Squirrel surfing right over me and my board at Rest, soft lad as he is. Also surfing down Garth mountain in Maesteg on a 6ft Roger Cooper, tandem. Snow, surfboard, stupidity - could'nt stop...it all ended in tears.
Favourite Manoeuvre: Extremely hazardous, late as possible take offs in very large waves.
Worst Surfing Habit: Not getting out enough
Weirdest Surfing Experience: Surfing right handers all morning down the beach and "accidentally" finding myself in the semi-final line up with Kelly Slater at the Lacanau Pro, hearing a loudspeaker proclaim "Will the guy on the longboard please leave the competition area!" Surfing in and getting a round of applause from the spectators as I marched up the beach in my boardies. True story.
Other Interests: Scaring people, playing semi-pro golf, and deluding myself!
