Most surprising thing about being a dad?

"Realising how organised I can be. Everything; meal times, naps bedtime including my own, now has a lot more structure. I used to do quite a bit on a whim."

Greatest piece of dad advice you’ve been given?

"Sleep when he sleeps. Sleep for me is a real struggle and although when he sleeps, it gives me time do things that are difficult to do when he is awake, sometimes taking a nap at the same time or going to bed early with him helps when it comes to recouping energy lost through lack of sleep and spent on his daily activities."

Best thing about being a dad?

"Coming home from work, or picking him up from any of his grandparents and seeing the massive smile and love he has for me when he see me. He also crawls up to me every morning and gives me a cuddle and it gets me ready to attack the day."

Describe fatherhood in three words?

"Amazing, exhausting and joyful."

One thing you didn’t think you’d do as a dad (but now do)?

"Enjoy nursery rhymes and baby songs. I sing them daily even when not around my son. I'd thought that this would've been one of the most annoying thing about having a little one."

Best skill you’ve developed as a dad?

"I'm very efficient at a full nappy change, and dinners (sounds easy), but he used to be a very fussy and difficult eater. I've mastered him eating his dinner at home and out."

Which TV/movie dad are you?

"Michael Kyle from My Wife and Kids, for sure."
