Ben Daniels is familiar to ±«Óãtv ONE audiences for playing Finn Bevan, womaniser turned doting father, in Debbie Horsfield's hairdressing drama Cutting It. He appeared in the first three seasons from 2002 to 2005. Asked about the experience of being an on-screen dad, Daniels remarked "I love kids. I really enjoyed having them around on set."

Daniels starred as the author Ian Fleming in Ian Fleming: Bondmaker (±«Óãtv One, 2005) and appeared in Spooks, The Virgin Queen (both ±«Óãtv One, 2005) and Marple: 4.50 from Paddington (ITV, 2004).

He also starred as Lord Kildare, a prolific husband with a fetish for shoes, in the 1999 ±«Óãtv adaptation Aristocrats.

In film, Daniels played the German State Secretary Dr Josef Bühler in Conspiracy (2001), a dramatisation of the Wannsee Conference at which Adolf Hitler's government endorsed the Final Solution. His other film roles include Doom (2005), Fogbound (2002), Fanny & Elvis (1999) and Madeline (1998).

He won an Olivier award for Best Supporting Actor for his 2001 role in All My Sons at the National Theatre.

Ben Daniels, originally from Nuneaton in Warwickshire, trained for three years at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

In 2008 Daniels makes his first Broadway appearance, starring in Les Liaisons Dangereuses alongside Laura Linney. He has said "I love doing theatre - it's tough and keeps you on your toes as an actor."

On television, Daniels was recently seen in Lark Rise to Candleford (±«Óãtv One, 2008). In 2006 he played the enigmatic Nicholas Brocklehurst, an advisor to America's British Ambassador, in The State Within.
