Justin Fletcher has the first dance session based on The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson.

1. Lift wanted around the world

The children begin as the Snail, using small precise gestures. These are contrasted with the large, slow gestures for the Whale. Working alone the children create icebergs using a variety of levels and body shapes. Then the group divides in two for a sequence in which half the group are icebergs and the other half travel through the spaces as the Snail and the Whale.
