The Romans

There are three dance sessions in this unit exploring a wide range of themes relating to the Romans. The first session covers Roman military prowess - including the formation of a 'testudo' or 'tortoise'. In the second session the elegant arches and columns of Roman buildings are at the fore. In the final session the dances cover what the Romans enjoyed in their spare time - including battles in the gladiator arena.
