Bring the wonders of The Green Planet into your classroom with the first of two new Bitesize: The Regenerators Live Lessons.

The Green Planet is a brand new five-part landmark series from ±«Óătv Studios’ world-renowned Natural History Unit airing in January 2022.

It follows Sir David Attenborough as he travels the world – from the rainforests of the tropics to the wildernesses of the frozen north – to explore the extraordinary ways in which plants have learnt to survive and thrive in almost every environment.

Sir David Attenborough said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to explore a neglected yet truly remarkable part of the natural world. Once again, the innovative approach of the ±«Óătv NHU and ground breaking technology will reveal new and surprising wonders to the ±«Óătv One audience.”

We’ve created a tropical plant themed science lesson for 7-11 year-olds presented by Naomi Wilkinson and Bitesize Daily’s Mr McPartlin and featuring amazing footage from the new series.

Bitesize: The Regenerators - The Green Planet Live Lesson 2

We’re looking at different parts of flowers and trees and learning what they need to grow and survive, as well as finding out about some of the tiny creatures that rely on plants in the rainforest.

We also talk to a member of The Green Planet production crew to find out what it was like to film plants in the wild using the latest technology.
