Worcestershire have just lost their first wicket as they chase a mammoth target of 386 at Sussex. Ari Karvelas has dismissed Gareth Roderick to leave them 74-1.

Leicestershire are chipping away at Gloucestershire in their second innings but time is running out to force a result. Gloucestershire are 157-5 and lead by 175.

One thing Kent will need here is discipline if they are going to win this. They need to focus.

I think a couple of their players will be going up to see the umpire at the end of the day.

Kent are not happy.

Hamidullah Qadri thinks Ben Foakes has nicked behind, as does his skipper Jack Leaning.

They are off celebrating but the umpire doesn't raise his finger. Disbelief among the Kent players and the umpire has a word of warning for Qadri who might have said a bit too much.

Kent really need to break this partnership so you can understand their frustration. The umpire is wagging a finger in the direction of captain Leaning too at the end of the over.

Dom Sibley came to the crease for Surrey just before lunch on Tuesday.

And he remains there just after lunch on Wednesday, inching up to 88, leaving more balls than not, but picking up the odd run when available.

The run rate is 3.15 so far - and the required rate is 2.59 so Surrey can take their time. And Sibley is.

Essex bowl out Somerset before lunch at Chelmsford to win by 196 runs.

Yorkshire celebrate a County Championship victory for the first time in 14 months as they beat Derbyshire by three wickets.

Lancashire make short work of scoring the 92 runs they required to clinch a six-wicket Division One victory against Hampshire.

An intriguing afternoon in store at Hove with Worcestershire needing another 331 to win in 66 overs with 10 wickets in hand.

Jake Libby and Gareth Roderick have so far looked untroubled in their reply, and on a good pitch with Sussex bowler Nathan McAndrew not on the field, Worcestershire may feel this is an attainable total.

They'll play on at Chelmsford with Somerset nine down, but the rest of the games are at lunch...

Surrey's session, for sure - a wicketless morning for Kent, who can feel this match slowly slipping away.

Having begun the day on 263-3, the Division One leaders have added 72 runs with very few alarms.

The 501 target - which looked barely conceivable at 4-1 yesterday - is just 166 runs away with Dom Sibley (86no) and Ben Foakes (63no) having brought up their century partnership just before lunch.

Remember, if they see this through, it's the second highest run chase in Championship history.
