Alyssa Healy has played a few shots which have left me with my mouth open.

    Sophie Ecclestone continues after drinks.

It was always going to be interesting to see how the Aussies play Ecclestone after the confidence she's built through the tournament.

But that's a pretty clear signal of intent - Alyssa Healy dances down the track and clubs her straight down the ground for a glorious four.

How will England's trump card respond? She's not used to that.

I wonder if England could do something completely left-field and bowl someone like Sophia Dunkley, who hasn't bowled in the tournament yet.

And we always say that Heather Knight doesn't bowl herself enough.

As the players take a breather, a penny for Heather Knight's thoughts after deciding to bowl?

Anyway as they get a drink, I'm going to hand over to Ffion Wynne, who is all set to come in off her long run for the next part of the final!

Kate Cross is on for Nat Sciver, and keeper Jones has to take a wide down the leg side. That first over goes for six, nurdled all over the Hagley Oval as the pressure builds on the fielding side.

Dom: Very bad review, which scoreboard pressure has made England use.

Not a good review, and that sums up England's day so far really.

Clarity of mind is so key in these situations and there wasn't any there. It was a hopeful review.

A clear edge into the front pad - not a great review, to be honest.

  10. England reviewpublished at 02:58 British Summer Time 3 April 2022

Ecclestone gets Healy on the pads and appeals. It's given not out, but England go for the appeal...

  11. Australia 68-0published at 15 overs

Haynes and Healy work it around for five from Sciver's fourth over.

Charlie Dean's difficult start has forced Heather Knight into a change - and here's Sophie Ecclestone to replace her. She took six wickets last time out, but this is a very different challenge right now.

Heather Knight must have a couple of game plans up her sleeve if she chose to bowl first.

First plan would have been to get them three down in the powerplay. But that hasn't worked, so what now? She has held back Kate Cross and Sophie Ecclestone, which is interesting.

  13. Australia 63-0published at 14 overs

Four more for Haynes as she lays back to a short one outside off stump from Dean, slicing it away to the rope at third. Two balls later she comes down the track and drives it past cover for another boundary.

The openers are really in the groove now, knocking Sciver's third over around comfortably for five more runs.

I don't think we're going to be filing this one under 'low-scoring classic'. 'Run-fest', maybe?

This is what Australia do so well. They own the first 10 overs, but don't panic if the run rate isn't amazing. They know they can make up for it later with the power they have to come.

Doug Sheahan: Not everyone in Scotland backing Australia. Some of us always good for the underdog. Would New Zealand be playing today if they'd played Edinburgh's Leigh Kasperek.

This looks like a definite target to me - Australia are going to go after the young spinner.

  18. Australia 48-0published at 11.4 overs

Nice work from Healy as she plonks one foot down the pitch before lifting Dean over mid on for four.

  19. Australia 43-0published at 11.1 overs

Anya Shrubsole is out of the attack, and here is off spinner Charlie Dean to replace her. Healy punches her away into the offside for a single off her first ball.

I think England have given Australia a little chance to bat them out of the game.

It's a tricky one because you can see what Heather Knight was thinking bowling first - Australia haven't lost a game chasing since 2017.
