  1. NZ 140-7published at 33 overs

Heather Knight strays slightly with her length and gets away with a couple of full tosses. But New Zealand keep picking out the fielders so they can only run two singles.

And this. Bails and stumps everywhere.

This is one of the reasons why Alex Hartley wants Kate Cross back into the attack.

I'd like to see England be ruthless here and bring back Ecclestone and Cross, the wicket-takers.

  5. NZ 138-7published at 32 overs

    Target 348

Charlie Dean continues, the England spinners are racing through these overs.

It's more disciplined stuff from Dean, with New Zealand dealing exclusively in singles, though she does blots her copybook slightly with a wide.

It's not going to change the result, though.

  6. NZ 134-7published at 31 overs

Totally agree, Alex. There's no point just seeing out the overs, New Zealand may as well try and have some fun out there.

This is what you want to see, New Zealand's lower order going for it and playing their shots. They're not going to win it so you might as well have a go!

  8. NZ 134-7published at 30.3 overs

Chipped up in the air.....but over midwicket and over the boundary for four!

Hannah Rowe has a smile on her face, indicating she knew exactly what she was doing.

She definitely does the next ball, creaming it through the onside for another four!

I've just had my final ice cream of the summer. I'm a bit emotional.

  10. NZ 126-7published at 30 overs

Another very tidy over from Charlie Dean, just three runs off it plus that stumping attempt.

New Zealand need 222 runs from 120 balls.

    Hmmmm.

  11. Not outpublished at 16:47 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

Not out - Halliday managed to ground her foot back in the crease.

It's a nice bit of bowling but I don't think Halliday's foot moved.

  13. Umpire reviewpublished at 16:46 British Summer Time 26 September 2021

Smart work from Amy Jones as she whips off the bails - has she Brooke Halliday? It goes upstairs.

  14. NZ 124-7published at 29 overs

There's some decent running between Hannah Rowe and Brooke Halliday as they run five singles off Heather Knight.

It's nowhere near enough, but it's all about damage limitation now.

Brooke Halliday is such a talented player but she's been asked to do too much this series, often coming in during situations like this.

  16. NZ 117-7published at 28 overs

'Come on Deano!' is the cheer from Amy Jones behind the stumps.

It's another tight over from the 20-year-old.

  17. NZ 114-7published at 27.1 overs

Charlie Dean continues - and is that a drop? No, just short! Rowe just looped it up back towards the England spinner but she could not quite get the ball with the dive.

  18. NZ 114-7published at 27 overs

Hannah Rowe is the next batter and it's a fairly hopeless position to come into the middle. She manages to get off the mark with a clip down to long-on.

Heather Knight is an underused bowler but she's come on as England's third spinner. New Zealand selected just one part-time spinner. Has there ever been a bigger misjudgement of a pitch?

Once again, spin does the trick for England. If it's not Ecclestone or Dean, it'll be Heather Knight.
