Conductor Junping Qian makes his debut with the ±«Óãtv Symphony Orchestra in a free afternoon studio concert at Maida Vale Studios.Ìý

Igor Stravinsky provides the thrilling orchestral Fireworks to open the concert. Then Diyang Mei, 1st Principal Viola of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra,Ìýjoins the ±«Óãtv SO as soloist in the beautiful sound-world of Reflet d’un temps disparu (Reflections of a Vanished time) by Qigang Chen, the esteemed Chinese/French composer. The work combines traditional Chinese sounds with a Western orchestra. The concert ends with Dmitri Shostakovich's rousing First Symphony.Ìý

How to be in the audience

Step 1: Apply for tickets

Tickets for this show are being allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so when we receive your ticket request your details are added to the list of applicants. Tickets are usually dispatched from approximately three weeks ahead of the recording date.

Step 2: Receive a message

All eligible requests are allocated tickets in the order they are received, up to the maximum number of available tickets. If successful, we notify you by text message andÌýsendÌýyour e-ticket(s) to your email address. If unsuccessful you will be kept on the waiting list in case anyone cancels their tickets.

Step 3: Bring your tickets and ID

We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people. Remember that every guest must bring original approved photo ID.
