Wouldn't normally do this, but we've just seen some outstanding work by looking at data, and it's lovely.

The ±«Óãtv Dimensions project takes some facinating and really rather important spacial data from history, and integrates it into rather natty modern maps to give you an idea of the impact of world historic events. It humanises them (at least for us map geeks!).

The outlining the work is a facinating read in it's own right.

Max Gadney, who commisioned this project from BERG, has a What's more, he's inviting fedback there. After all this is an experimental project, and we'd like to know how it can be improved upon.

We should stress, this isn't the R&D dept at all, but it is R&D and it is being done at the ±«Óãtv, and we think it's very cool!
