Ìý When Neil and Christine Hamilton Wednesday 5 September 2001 Ìý
The Hamiltons
When Neil and Christine Hamilton were accused of being involved in the rape of a trainee college lecturer, Christine's response was typical. The self-styled battleaxe went into battle.

The couple gave full transcripts of their police interrogations to the Mail on Sunday, produced documentary evidence of their alibi for journalists and issued a writ for libel against their accuser Nadine Milroy-Sloan.
Then, after four months of investigations, the police declared that they could find no evidence to support the accusations against the Hamiltons.
Christine and Neil are still pursuing their case against Ms Milroy-Sloan and there has been talk of suing the police as well.
But the ill-fated legal and electoral contests of the past few years have clearly taken their toll on Christine Hamilton - her dramatic weight loss being just one symptom of the stress she's endured.
So is she really ready for another battle? Jenni finds out more.
