Cleaning Stately ±«Óãtvs: Floors 18th April 2007
If you think that spring cleaning your home is a chore, imagine cleaning a stately home or an historic house. The National Trust has recently compiled a manual of housekeeping containing lots of useful tips gleaned from years of experience. Sue Elliott Nicholls went to Ham House near Richard in Surrey and met up with the dept head conservator Helen Lloyd and steward Nigel Burne to find out the best way to look after wooden floors.
