A pile of Christmas cards
One of the best things about this time of year is the contents of the postman’s sack. For a few glorious weeks the post may not be entirely made up of the inevitable billsÌýand circulars, but notes of love and good tidingsÌýin the form of Christmas cards. But for Sue Elliott-Nicholls the sound of a pile of Christmas cards flopping onto her mat fills her with a feeling of horror and dread.
