Deborah Kellaway's Garden 9 Jun 2006
The gardening writer Deborah Kellaway died in January this year, aged 83. As well as being The Oldie's gardening correspondent for the last 10 years of her life, Deborah was also celebrated for her gardening books.

The first of these, The Making of an English Country Garden, tells the story of the garden that she created overÌý40 years at her cottage in Norfolk. This was the garden where her daughter,Ìýjournalist Kate Kellaway, had played as a child, and it is a place that held particularly fond memories for Kate.

After Deborah's death, the familyÌýdonned theirÌýgardening gloves. The house and garden will soon be sold at auction. Kate spoke to Louise Adamson as she reflected on the garden andÌýevoked memories of her mother.
