Winning Women’s VotesÌý- Women in the Devolved Assemblies 2ndÌýMarch 2010
Does the better gender balance of the devolved assemblies affect the policies discussed?

As part of our 'Winning Women’s Votes' series, we look at the Welsh Assembly and the Scottish Parliament. Both the devolved assemblies have significant numbers of women members, the Welsh Assembly with 47% women members and the Scottish Parliament with 35%. Nicola Sturgeon, Deputy First Minister of the Scottish Parliament, Helen Mary Jones, Deputy Leader of Plaid Cymru, and Professor of Governance at Liverpool University, Laura McAllister, join Jane to discuss whether policy and behaviour are affected by such significant numbers of women politicians.
