With the Test Match Series now underway the official picnicking season has undoubtedly begun. For some, a simple sandwich, a piece of cake and a flask will do. For others the picnic basket represents a considerable social challenge. As serious devotees start planning their hamper menus for events such as Glyndebourne and Goodwood, we discuss the phenomenon of competitive picnicking. Food critic Charles Campion and picnic caterer Sanchia Lovell join Jenni to explore oneupmanship on the picnic rug.
