UK Parliament fails to approve a Brexit plan

MPs could not reach a majority of ayes on eight different alternatives to the PM's plan.

British MPs have voted on a series of alternative courses of action on Brexit, but none of the eight options commanded a majority. The one that came closest to success was a motion calling for a commitment to negotiate a permanent customs union with the EU. A second phase of the non-binding process is planned for Monday.

In Austria, authorities have raided the home of the leader of a far-right group in connection with the investigation into the New Zealand mosque attacks.

Facebook officials will appear in a Belgian court later today to fight against a ruling that prevents them from tracking people's habits online without their consent. The Brussels court ruled in 2018 that the US tech giant doesn’t provide enough information about how and why it collects data or what it does with the information.
