Neville's car was once stolen and found miles away completely burnt out, and he was the subject of gossip when Jolene Archer's car was parked outside his house all night. As it happens this was just a cover for her tryst with Sid, but it didn't stop the rumour mill. Unlike his unpleasant nephew Nathan, jazz fan Neville is quite sociable. He once offered a room to Jolene's ex-husband Wayne, who was recovering from a very low patch.
