Alesha Dixon started off her career in the spotlight as part of MOBO award winning British R&B group Mis-Teeq.

They were responsible for hits such as Scandalous and All I Want, scoring seven consecutive top-ten singles. Their debut album Lickin’ On Both Sides also became a platinum selling success.

Alesha appeared on the fifth series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2007, along with her professional dancer Matthew Cutler.

She scored 18 ‘perfect tens’ during her time on the way to lifting the famous Glitterball trophy, and winning the series in a nail-biting finale against Matt Di Angelo.

Off the back of featuring on Strictly, Alesha re-launched her solo music career. Releasing hits such as The Boy Does Nothing and Breathe Slow, which both achieved Top 10 success in the UK charts and garnered her a Brit Award nomination in the process.

With an eye for talent, Alesha has firmed herself as an in-demand talent show judge, both on the Strictly panel from 2009 until 2011, and on the Britain’s Got Talent panel which she has been ever present on since 2012. In early 2019, Alesha Dixon travelled across the pond to become a judge on the second series of America’s Got Talent: The Champions, where she joined Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum.

Alesha has hosted shows such as Dance Dance Dance, Sport Relief and of course the first series of The Greatest Dancer.

Since 2018 Alesha has become a bestselling children’s author, writing the incredibly successful Lightning Girl series.

In August 2019 Alesha and husband Azuka Ononye welcomed their second daughter Anaya into their family.
