The South Asian Dance Academy perform
The South Asian Dance Academy is a project stemming from ArtsEkta – an organisation seeking the advancement of education and promotion of ethnic arts to people all over Ireland. The Academy uses Kathak dance (so recognisable from Bollywood cinema) and storytelling traditions to engage with the local population through workshops and live performances. The Academy can be seen at various festivals in Ireland including the Belfast Mela, Diwali & Samhain, and Holi Festival of Colours celebrating the commonalities between the Indian and Celtic traditions.
