After spending the last couple of years in their studio exploring sounds and working on new music, Kidderminster band Superfood return to the live music scene with a special performance at Radio 1's Big Weekend.

"We had no money, no label and wanted to give up several times," says frontman Dom Ganderton.

Having pressed a hard reset on the band, Dom Ganderton (vocals/guitars) and Ryan Malcolm (guitars) are currently working on a second album due for release later this year.

20 minutes is all it took for public tickets for the Manchester benefit gig on Sunday to sell out.

Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Take That, Pharrell Williams and Coldplay are all among the acts due to perform at One Love Manchester which is expected to raise more than £2m for the Red Cross fund supporting those who were injured or bereaved by the attack.

Our next recording session takes place on Saturday 17 June at the Tenbury Music Festival, which returns for a second year.

This 12-hour event features two stages, food stalls and a beer tent.

So far, the organisers have raised £3,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust and this year they're expecting 1,000 visitors.
