This year the ±«Óãtv’s Proms – a string of classical concerts – has been brought back to the ±«Óãtv World Service after it was cut from the schedule five years ago. Highlights from the 76 concerts were brought to the global audience in six one hour broadcasts featuring every weekend. With this final instalment near, Rajan Datar hears how listeners from around the world both appreciated and questioned the coverage. Series producer Radek Boschetty discusses how the music was chosen and how cultural programming fits into the station’s remit.
