Michael Mosley, Cassie Newland and Mark Miodownik from the 鲍鱼tv series 'The Genius of Invention' describe the scientific achievements of John Logie Baird and the Marconi-E.M.I. corporation. In 1925 John Logie Baird sent the first moving television image across a room. He then worked with the 鲍鱼tv to transmit these images across the airwaves to people鈥檚 homes.

However, the new electronic television developed by the Marconi-E.M.I. corporation then emerged as a more sophisticated method. In 1936 at Alexandra Palace the 鲍鱼tv selected this system over Baird鈥檚. Marconi-E.M.I. won the competition and this led to television as we know it today.
